The lost, final chapter is here, and it's free!

Six years on the third and final chapter of Over the Alps is finally playable. The Devil's Quill was left unfinished when Stave Studios closed, so we at Tributary rebuilt it and it's now ready for you absolutely free!

It's a browser-based release on itch.io only: 42,000 words, over 1,100 choices, and a full branching conclusion to the Over the Alps story. Plays on desktop and mobile, no download required.

It's now 1942 and the war is in full swing. Play as Aubrey, the contact the spies from our first two stories have been writing to, as he travels to North Africa to hunt down a traitor in the Secret Service.

Dive headfirst into the desert, make friends and enemies new and old, and finally find out why all these spies have been writing postcards...

As we sadly didn't have enough assets for a full chapter update, we created an all new web version, using recovered artwork and story. 

It's stripped back compared to the paid chapters, with no map, translations or animations, but the entire story was ready to go, along with artwork for every location.

Written by the superb Harry Tuffs, The Devil's Quill is the ending fans have waited a long time for!
